We have a new Thunbergia called ‘Blushing Susie’ that is grown especially for us. We are the only nursery in San Diego carrying this. Looks like a vine with 50 cent piece sized flowers in various shades of red. We have them in 5-gallon containers with stakes.

This week, we’ll receive our first shipment of Urgenia Maritima bulbs. These are better known as Giant Sea Squill. The bulbs are soccer ball size. These plants love to be neglected, put them in a dry area with little water and by fall you’ll have lush leaves and next summer they will have a tall stalk with a profusion of white flowers growing in a cone like shape 2/3s up the stalk.

In Poway, we have an eye catching cassia that is getting a lot of attention. We have them in 5 and 15 gallon containers as well as a 24” box.

In Poway we just got a new shipment of water lilies and lotus in. They are huge plants in a one-gallon container. Some are blooming, some are tropicals. We also have stargrass that looks great, much better than last year.

It's not too late to plant fruit trees. Plant now and enjoy later the convenience of picking the fruits of your choice from your own trees.

The hot weather is upon us so think about adding a cooling water feature to your garden. Small wall fountains add soothing sounds, ponds lure people to them. Add a fountain or build a pond and you'll increase the variety of plants you can use for your new setting. If you're thinking about water plants, we invite you to our Poway location to see our beautiful blooming lotus. We've had tremendous success with this pink blossom and it has been fed exclusively with Gro Power tablets.
